Dave and Heidi Skipper have been involved in various music ministries in the Tokyo area since 2010. Dave organises and performs at many underground music events, and he writes a blog called The Word on Noise that connects his faith and the Bible to noise music. For further information on Dave's ministry you can read two articles he has written for Japan Harvest in the Spring 2012 magazine (p.20) and in the Summer 2018 magazine (pp.22-23).  Dave is now embarking on an in-depth research and writing project on a Biblical theology of sound, and he also serves as the Innovative Ministries Team leader for JVENTURE (formerly called Japan Baptist Fellowship), the local mission organisation that they are part of in Japan.

Heidi works with the Hallelujah Gospel Family (HGF) choir network, which involves teaching adult, student, and kids choirs, as well as developing resources and training for local churches to start up kids choirs as part of the HGF network. You can read more about HGF in Heidi's article for the JCL's Spring 2019 magazine (pp.1-3). Heidi also co-leads monthly coffee mornings with local mums, at which they share life together and learn about the Bible and prayer.

Dave and Heidi's heart is to share the truth of God's Word and his love through meaningful and lasting relationships that they develop through their various activities. Their older kids attend a local international Christian school where they are thriving, while they adopted their youngest in Japan.

Dave and Heidi would appreciate your prayers for their family's physical and spiritual health, for vision and perseverance in what God has called them to, and for lasting fruit in their various friendships and connections.
