Emba Allison followed God’s call to Japan in 2015 after hearing a dramatic message at a conference on the huge mental health needs in Japan from a Japanese pastor serving in suicide prevention work. In order to deepen her understanding of Japanese culture firsthand, Emba went to Japan as an English teacher where she worked in local government public schools for 7 years. As well as teaching, she has a burden to support Japanese people with mental health issues, outreach through friendship evangelism, gospel choir music and ministry to the homeless.

After serving for a year in the mental health work of a small counselling centre in Tokyo, in 2023 God opened Emba’s eyes to the distressing needs of runaway children in Tokyo’s red light district. Emba is currently serving there, in partnership with several ministry partners, as well as a Christian anti-human trafficking NGO, with the goal of bringing God’s help, hope and healing to these precious children in Japan.

Emba is keen to hear from anyone who would like to partner with her in prayer and financially. Please contact us to request her monthly prayer letters.  You can also:
