Satoshi and Saori Fukuda will shortly join the London Japanese Christian Fellowship (London JCF) where Satoshi will be missionary and pastoral candidate. The goal of London JCF is to raise up faithful Christian leaders among the long-term Japanese residents in the UK and reach out to Japanese students and workers living in London for a short period of time with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Satoshi and Saori believe that those returning young Japanese Christians from overseas have big potential to strengthen churches and church plants across Japan.

Satoshi and Saori first met at a Sunday gathering of London JCF in 2015. After some years in a long distance relationship between London and Tokyo and even a breakup, God graciously brought them back together again and led them to marriage in 2021. Since then Satoshi has completed his theological training at Christ Bible Seminary in Nagoya (where JCL's Mission partner Richard Brash teaches as an Associate Professor). During that time the Lord gave them opportunities to serve London JCF remotely from Japan as the church has been meeting mostly online since the pandemic in 2020. Through serving and having online fellowship with London JCF, God has put a desire in Satoshi's and Saori's hearts to work for gospel-centred church revitalisation at London JCF while reaching out to young Japanese in London. Now the Lord has opened up an opportunity for Satoshi and Saori to come to the UK and serve London JCF.
