Shirakawadai is a commuter town of Kobe, 25 minutes from the city centre by subway. The church has around 30 members.

Their Bible verse for 2020 is Matthew 24:44:  "So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

A man was baptised at this church last year. He is from a Buddhist priest’s family and his father is particularly hostile towards Christianity so, unfortunately, he still hasn’t been able to share the news of his baptism with his family.

Praise God for this man's baptism.

• That church members will be alert and ready for the day of the Lord.
• That they would do this by spending time with God to build up their faith, and by sharing the gospel.
• For the man who was baptised, that God would protect his faith and that he would grow as a disciple.
