Japan Weekend Conference 2022

Our next conference will take place, God willing, between 22nd and 24th July 2022 and will be held at All Nations Christian College near Ware in Hertfordshire.  We are planning to hold this event in person, subject to prevailing regulations.  In order to simplify logistics and encourage meeting in person unfortunately we will not be offering participation online this year.

Our theme this year is "The manifold works and wisdom of God" – Ephesians 3:9,10 –「主の宣教の多様な働き」God is advancing his kingdom among the Japanese people.  

We have invited four speakers to participate remotely from Japan.  The main conference sessions and speakers will be:

God is growing his Kingdom in megacities - Seima Aoyagi, pastor of Grace Harbor Church in Tokyo

God is growing his Kingdom among students/young people - Mitsuna Nishioka, from the Navigators

God is growing his Kingdom among returnees - Chihiro Okada, staff worker at Japanese Christian Network Fellowship

God is growing his Kingdom in small towns - Masashi Sato, pastor of Fukushima First Bible Baptist Church

The prevailing Covid safety protocols which apply to the venue will be implemented.  All participants will be asked to agree to implement these fully.  Note that it is possible that the numbers meeting in person will be limited.

When it comes to the advance of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Japanese are among the largest, most un-reached people groups of our world. Come and listen to our speakers as they share encouraging news of the growth of God's kingdom amongst the people of Japan. Join us in praying for the advance of God's kingdom across all of Japan.

Our aim for this weekend is for you to gain a better understanding of the current spiritual climate in Japan, be inspired to pray, learn from others’ experiences and yourself also be able to encourage and build up others. There will be input in Japanese and in English, so do invite your Japanese friends, … or your English-speaking friends if you are Japanese! The programme will include workshops, testimonies and time to relax and chat. It will be a great opportunity to meet different people involved in serving the Lord among Japanese people, as well as to make new friends and to catch up with 'old' ones!
