Our vision JCL's vision is to help make a significant difference in the progress of the gospel among the Japanese people over the first half of this century. We will seek to do this through educating, encouraging and equipping the Body of Christ, through a network of relationships so that, more and more, the good news of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed clearly, and disciples of Jesus Christ multiplied, among the Japanese people, for His glory. (Matthew 28:19-20) In order to realise this vision, we have adopted some key aims:- - To raise awareness (educate)
Of the scale of the spiritual need of the 130 million Japanese Of the obstacles and barriers to their responding to the gospel Of the remarkable openness of Japanese people when abroad and the opportunities for Christians in Britain and elsewhere to introduce them to Christ Of the importance of linking returning Japanese believers and enquirers with Christians in Japan who will be able to help them move forward spiritually - To challenge and encourage people (encourage)
To pray for the Japanese and those seeking to reach them To get involved themselves in outreach and ministry to Japanese To think creatively and explore new forms of outreach To provide financial and other resources to support mission to Japanese - To be a resource (equip)
By being a centre of expertise and advice for those engaged in ministry to Japanese outside Japan By linking together people engaged in similar work By providing helpful Japanese language literature resources By arranging conferences for those praying for or engaged in mission to Japanese By mentoring and supporting our Mission Partners, Network Partners, Volunteers and other key people in their ministries
